Head of CISO Strategy

We are seeking an experienced and visionary cybersecurity strategist to lead the development and implementation of our global cybersecurity strategy. This role will focus with aligning security operations with business objectives while addressing country-specific risk, compliance requirements, and operational efficiencies.
The team
As the Head of CISO Strategy you will be leading a team of strategy consultants. This department plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategy for the organization, focussing on long-term, high-level and security-wide decisions regarding our long-term strategy.
Roles and responsibilities
The Head of CISO Strategy is responsible for:
- Develop the collaborative design and execution of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives, risk management goals, regulatory and industry guidance, and long term growth for a global organization.
- Partner at all levels of the CISO organization to develop, implement, and execute an organization-wide CISO strategy.
- Collaborate closely with country CISO’s to understand their unique challenges and ensure Global CISO tailored support, and guidance to effectively address local programs.
- Assess the redesign of security operations, including addressing concentration risk, improving efficiencies and cost effectiveness.
- Continuously assess and refine the strategy to stay ahead of emerging threats, technology advancements, banking trends, business direction, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders to advocate for security initiatives and align with business goals.
- Provides strategic planning to ensure CISO Strategy directions get translated into roadmaps, explorational initiatives and solutions

- 10+ years experience in a mixture of technology, security, leadership and project management roles
- Experience leading teams and a record that balances individual contribution with making those around you better
- Strong organisational skills and ability to model those across a highly professional team
- Experience managing high performing and expertised teams
- Experience building business cases and excellent presentation skills
- Experience in the financial industry is valued
Education
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred

- Challenging mindset: able to challenge choices from the past and co-create new concepts with technical teams

- Stakeholder management: Be a counterparty for various product and commercial stakeholders to understand their needs, derive business cases and set the right priorities
