Role Overview
We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, changing environment. As the RTX Strategic Governance & Policy Analyst, you will research and analyze government policy and regulatory changes and predict the impact to RTX (International and Domestic). You will also establish and lead the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Program and ensure RTX compliance with this sensitive data. Lastly you will ensure Digital Technology representation in aerospace & defense industry cybersecurity organizations and forums to support crafting policy recommendation based on RTX stakeholder input and industry best practices to shape the future of cybersecurity policies, standards and regulations.
What You Will Do:
- This role reports into the Digital Compliance function and has responsibilities that include:
- Build & execute regulatory & policy strategy aligned with GRC goals and priorities
- In alignment with regulation and policy establish an RTX CUI Program to support digital protection, education, and proper handling of sensitive data
- Engage, coordinate and ensure RTX representation in aerospace & defense industry organizations and forums to shape cybersecurity policies, standards and regulations
- Communicate insights and updates from external policy engagements to Digital Governance, Risk and Compliance Leaders.
- Support a proactive approach to regulatory and compliance risk management
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with domestic & international government agencies, regulators and industry partners (e.g. Defense Contract Management Activity (DCMA), Defense Industrial Base (DIB), National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), National Institute of Science & Technology (NIST))
- Effectively manage communications and statuses across relevant stakeholders (from senior leaders to technical SMEs). Build presentations/content adjusted to a given audience on program strategy and status
Qualifications You Must Have:
- 10+ years of experience with or within a cybersecurity organization
- Bachelor's degree in digital technology, cybersecurity, business administration, law, finance, or related fields; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, JD) preferred
- At least one Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Familiarity with U.S. DoD and International cybersecurity and privacy Laws (e.g. GDPR) and Regulations
- Deep understanding of aerospace & defense industry, including its unique regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g CUI, ITAR, DFARS, NIST)
