About the RoleJoin our dynamic team at Sierra Space where you will play a pivotal role in space exploration. We are seeking a skilled DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer experienced in On-Prem and Cloud CI/CD pipeline implementations. You'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines ensuring the security and efficiency of our development processes.Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using frameworks such as the Big Bang framework
Architect and maintain On-Prem and Cloud Kubernetes resources.
Implement robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution
Configure and manage Jfrog Artifactory and Xray scanning
Configure and manage GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Design and implement Security Scanning requirements into pipelines
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services
Collaborate closely with software developers to optimize development processes and embed security practices
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform or Ansible
Conduct comprehensive system tests including security, performance, and availability assessments
Ensure the team is producing quality driven software that is reproducible and follows best practices
Enhance developer productivity by driving the build improvements and software release criteria

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams
The willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Infrastructure as Cloud: Terraform (preferred), Ansible, Cloud Formation
CI/CD Pipelines: GitLab, GitHub, AWS, Azure
Scripting: Bash, Python
Proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience with Windows and Linux software development and System Administration
Ability to identify bottlenecks in software development and create solutions to increase efficiency
Strong understanding of security and software development best practices and principles
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Build and Release Engineering skills to orchestrate software releases
Experience with C/C++ build tools: GCC, Visual Studio, CMake, Makefiles, MSBuild
Experience deploying to unclassified and classified networks
Experience with Platform One’s Big Bang DevSecOps platform

Level II - $91,154 - $125,337
Level III - $104,827 - $144,138
Sr - $138,634 - $190,623
Principal - $159,430 - $219,216
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
Rarely exposed to loud noises
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
