Computer and Information Research Scientist

Key Role:  

Perform research into fundamental computer, network, software, and IT systems. Conduct research into cyber threats, adversarial offensive and defensive tools, techniques, and methods, and mitigation solutions. Conduct research into problems in the field of computer hardware and software with a focus on system security and vulnerability. Conduct research into IT architectures and infrastructure. Apply science principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate NCR communication systems and networks.

Basic Qualifications:   

• 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining 
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources  
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or CS
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 3 compliant baseline Cybersecurity Certification

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
