Information System Security Officer (ISSO) (TS/SCI Required)
GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training from Squad through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB). Duties include technical integration between simulation and C2 systems, establishing /maintaining training and exercise networks as well as accomplishing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

HOW AN ISSO WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Duties include technical integration between simulation and C2 systems, establishing /maintaining training and exercise networks as well as accomplishing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.
- Ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained and documented for MTC information systems. Responsible for implementing standard operating procedures, implementing DoD, Army, & MTC policies, and creating & implementing plans of action and milestones (POA&M) in response to vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, & inspections.
- Serves as an eMASS administrator. Alternate Auditor, responsible for auditing the MTC information systems in conjunction with the Primary Auditor, and MTC ISSM. Assures successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate IT policies and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS in related field or equivalent years of relevant experience
- Experience: At least 4 years of related experience
- Certifications: IAM level II Certified IAW DoD 8570.01, (will align with DoD Manual 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program)
- Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- An understanding of NIST, DoD, & Army Cybersecurity & Risk Management Framework policies, directives, instructions, manuals, and best business practices
- Knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities
- Knowledge of disaster recovery continuity of operations plans.
- Knowledge of enterprise incident response program, roles, and responsibilities. Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of Defense-in-Depth)
- Knowledge of known vulnerabilities from alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins
- Knowledge of measures or indicators of system performance and availability
- Knowledge of network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools
- Knowledge of server administration and systems engineering theories, concepts, and methods
- Knowledge of systems lifecycle management principles, including software security and usability
- Skilled in determining how a security system should work (including its resilience and dependability capabilities) and how changes in conditions, operations, or the environment will affect these outcomes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019, Red hat Linux, Windows 11, SQLEXPRESS, ESS, ACAS, Microsoft Hyper Visor, EMASS, Tenable, Active Directory, GPO Management, and Domain Controllers.
- Must hold or obtain Computer Environment (CE) certification for all assigned Operating Systems support (This can be done on an approved DOD/US Army site within 6 months of hire date).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications: Security X (formerly CASP+), CEH, CFR, CySA+, Pentest+, CCNP Security, GCIA, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP
- Administrative knowledge of Microsoft Server 2022.
- Security Clearance Level: TS (SCI eligible)
- Additional Details:
- The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at the Mission Training Complex (MTC), Fort Bragg, NC. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not more than 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision on assigned tasks.
- Must be able to support shifts that occur outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be more than 40 hours per week.
- Location: Onsite; Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements
- Travel Required: 10%

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
