Summary

The Specialist, Information Security ( IT Asset Management ) will participate in PoC/Pilots for new Asset onboarding and Software License Compliance. They will be responsible for the assessment of Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management and Business Applications.. The incumbent will need to understand business and network risks and be able to provide appropriate recommendations to address / resolve them.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following

  • Analyzing the data and generating a dashboard to senior management.

  • Attend regular meetings with the Business team to document the requirements.

  • Knowledge on ServiceNow Tickets(Tasks, Incident, Change request).

  • Knowledge on ServiceNow to Create and Manage CI(Assets, Server).

  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies within asset management processes.

  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting of assets.

  • Stay current with trends and developments in asset management practices, technology, and regulations, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.

  • Drive the establishment and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on asset management performance.

  • Strong understanding of HAM and SAM asset management principles, processes, and best practices.

  • 5-8 years of experience in Software Asset Management, Licensing Compliance, or IT Asset Management within a consulting firm or large enterprise

  • Strong knowledge of software licensing models for major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP)

  • Proven experience in conducting software license audits, compliance assessments, and optimization initiatives

  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with cloud licensing models (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), ITIL, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SAM) are preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proficient in IT Asset Management and Software Licensing Compliance

  • Proficient in Risk Mitigation and Business Controls 

  • Proficient in Data Management and Analytics  

  • Intermediate level of understanding in Project Management as well as Change Management 

  • Proficient in Business Partnering  

  • Knowledge of computer operations/applications support in client/server environment 

  • Knowledge of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity and disaster recovery

  • Knowledge of team budget and tracking mechanisms  

  • Knowledge of Celestica’s technology, business and IT strategies 

  • Knowledge of IT delivery/operations, analysis, design and development 

  • Skills and Experience in installing and managing complex security solutions 

  • Skills and Experience in at least two Platforms 

  • Ability to predict, detect and respond to potential malicious factors 

  • Great operating systems knowledge (both Microsoft and *NIX) 

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide functional or technical project advice to individuals outside the immediate work unit/team

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

  • 8 to 10  years of relevant experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Specialized Knowledge / Skills. Vendor specific solution training.

  • Educational Requirements may vary by Geography.
