About the Role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive, and to achieve this we need a talented WAF Engineer to join our Cyber Defence Technology area. The Cyber Defence Technology area sits within our Security Domain and provide Information Security services across the bank.

You are (or aspire to be) a specialist in Application Security and have knowledge of OWASP TOP 10. You automate all the things and apply best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure automation. You (or aspire to) design, build and operate Web Application Firewall that can protect the bank against current and future application layer attacks.
 

What will your day look like?

•    Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions.
•    Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices. 
•    Utilise knowledge of Application Security to enable business across the bank.
•    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to stay ahead of emerging threats.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to protect against new threats.

What will you bring?

•    You will be a specialist in Application Security with knowledge of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities OR You will be a specialist in the implementation of infrastructure as code (CI/CD pipeline) with an aspiration for Application Security. 
•    Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation, along with continuous integration/delivery tooling such as Bitbucket/GitHub, CodeFresh/Jenkins etc. 
•    You are comfortable coding in at least one programming language and aspire to learn Python.
•    You automate all the things and apply best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure automation. 
•    You (or aspire to) design, build and operate the Web Application Firewall platform (SaaS & AWS)
•    You are available for change and incident management outside business hours.
•    You have knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, APIs, HTML/JS, DNS, SSL, TLS and Networking concepts.
