Description of Task to be Performed:Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join an exciting work program. The successful candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and in following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.
Key responsibilities include:· Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN infrastructure that includes routing protocols BGP, EIGRP and OSPF, VPNs, web proxy, and XML gateway for enterprise web services.· Work on different networking concepts and routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN and other LAN/WAN technologies.· Assist in determining enterprise information assurance and security standards.· Ensure information assurance/security standards and procedures are up to date.· Coordinate and evaluates security programs for an organization. Utilizes information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements.· Identify, report, and resolve security violations.· Satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.· Support customers in the implementation of doctrine and policies.· Support organization in the implementation of doctrine and policies. · Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment. · Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. · Review and implements security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. · Assist with design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet security requirements. · Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. · Analyze general information assurance-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. · Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. · Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure. · Perform system security tuning, security monitoring, general and privileged user account management, and reviewing all COTS software products upgrades and patches, including operating systems. · Shall support all systems/services certification and accreditation activities
This position is hybrid, with onsite support as needed at our customer location in Clarksburg, WV. Candidates must be able to provide onsite support whenever requested, and are required to live within commuting distance to Clarksburg, WV. AnaVation is not able to provide travel reimbursement when onsite support is required. Hybrid status is expected to continue, but is subject to change according to the direction of the customer.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and, if requested by the customer, the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 years
• Required:
• Two years of experience with one year of current experience in supporting and troubleshooting various computing devices and operating systems.
• Proficiency in both networking and cybersecurity technologies and protocols.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting Linux or Unix base operating systems.
• Experience with ALG (RTP, RTSP and FTP, DNS, HTTP), DHCP.
• Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security related certification such as:
• CompTIA A+
• Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Associate (CCCA)
• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
• Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Professional (CCCP)
