What you’ll do

Responsible for the overall software development of the security compliance capabilities that across the whole Vodafone business, mainly focused Data Center and Office network environments.

Assure the Integrity, Confidentiality and Availability of the networks in Europe, supporting effective end-to-end view on security aspects of the mobile and fixed services as well as their configurations and designs. Set up relevant tools and reports to be used to assess the security posture and promotes the best of breed security practices across the Engineering functions.

Job Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation for security projects.
  • Lead the implementation of security solutions, including but not limited to cybersecurity, physical security, and network security initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including security teams, IT departments, and vendors, to ensure project objectives are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Act as the point of contact for project-related communication and reporting.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant Company security standards.
  • Support internal and external audits related to security projects.

 

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Continuously monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management, including progress, risks, and corrective actions as needed.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with organizational security policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Considerable drive and interest in taking on new tasks and challenges
  • Capable of understanding and aligning service performance metrics with the best in class in Europe as well as investigating and reporting reasons for deviations elsewhere in a ‘country-agnostic’ perspective

In-depth knowledge in the following areas

  • Experience in Python and GoLang, automation scripting, and automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools for design documentation, revision control, and issue tracking
  • Knowledge in network management and network analysis

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • An academic degree and/or at least 3/5 years work experience in an IT organization supporting large heterogeneous IT infrastructures.
  • Experiences in project management
  • Result-oriented and enjoy taking initiative as well as responsibility
  • Fluent English oral and written
  • Experience building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments
  • Experience with Git and related repository management services such as GitLab, GitHub, and BitBucket
  • Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira
