Job Category

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks. You will gain practical knowledge of cybersecurity tools, technologies, and strategies to protect information systems and data across the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Information Security.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
  • Participate in security awareness training for company employees.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of security tools and technologies.
  • Assist in compliance audits and the creation of audit reports.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and alerts across company systems and networks.
  • Support the team in identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats in internal systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
  • Help create security documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and security policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security controls and measures.
  • Support penetration testing and vulnerability scanning activities.
  • Research and stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection systems, threat modeling).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques.
  • A keen interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn about security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, or firewalls is a plus.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude.

The expected hourly range for this position is $20/hr USD to $30/hr USD. This hourly range is an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The hourly rate may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits.
