If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Security Analyst. to join our expanding Security Team.
As a Security Analyst, you will investigate, analyze, and respond to security events, support compliance activities, and contribute to the overall security posture of our organization. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. while tackling meaningful challenges in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
What you’d be doing:
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and events.
- Perform vulnerability enumeration, incident response, and compliance audits.
- Enhance detection capabilities and analyze network security alerts.
- Conduct root cause analyses and log file reviews.
- Install, configure, and maintain security products, including firewalls, SIEMs, VPNs, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
- Administer patch and update management processes.
- Maintain and enforce systems configuration baselines and access control policies.
- Architect and maintain IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, and RBAC.
- Provision and deprovision accounts and administer directory services.
- Conduct audits and manual reconciliations to ensure proper access permissions.
- Conduct regular audits of systems, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to improve quality and mitigate risk.
- Assist the helpdesk with system updates, connectivity issues, and user support requests.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, other related technical disciplines, or equivalent cumulative job experience.
- 1-3 years in a Cyber or Information Security-specific role, or cumulatively 3-5 years in associated roles with Security responsibilities.
- 5+ years of overall Information Technology, Information Systems, or Network security, support, or administrative experience.
- Strong command of technical English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting to clearly, logically and accurately communicate in a precise and efficient manner when authoring or updating documents, using email or messaging platforms, or in any other form of written communication.
- A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- CCSP /SSCP /CISSP (ISC2)
- Security+ (CompTia)
- N|DE /D|SE /C|SE (EC-Council)
- Vendor-specific security administration, operations, or engineering qualifications.
