Responsible For

Providing comprehensive support for key applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and assisting users with functional and technical issues.

Key Purpose of Job

Ensure the core applications (ERP ecosystem) is fully administered and supported. The role will start during the final rollout and commissioning of the system and as such will develop key knowledge that will be critical for the longer-term support of the application.

Key Tasks

Provide day-to-day support for Core Applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Be the main point of contact (1st line – password and access requests; 2nd line – break fix, configuration), assisting end-users with system-related queries and provide training as needed.

Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and reliability of the core applications.

Manage and resolve incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Manage Customer Influence requests and internally communicate 3rd party upcoming releases for the purposes of facilitating process optimisation and improvement

Encourage and support the business to align with Best Practices and ensure technical debt is kept to a minimum within the solution

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of the full ERP suite.

Perform effective change management, documenting all changes to the system

Provide additional support of other Business applications used within SSTL, as required by IT Service Delivery

Keep up to date with new trends and technology

PERSON SPECIFICATION (essential requirements)

Qualifications

  • Essential: Must be able to attain and hold National Security Vetting, if required by SSTL, to a minimum SC level
  • Desirable: ITIL, CISA, CISSP an advantage but not necessary

Experience

  • Proficiency in system administration and support.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of incident management and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including demonstrated experience with root cause analysis

Knowledge & Skills

  • Attention to detail and pro-active approach to security
  • Experience of managing and administering cloud environments.
  • Competent troubleshooting skills
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and in a busy environment
  • Able to demonstrate company mindsets; accountability, one team, customers and projects rule
