Senior Engineer (Security & Identity)

Our Identity Practice has been an integral part of the business since inception back in 2014, and has built a reputation as one of the best in the market. We work in cross-functional teams to deliver IAM (Identity and Access Management) solutions built primarily on AWS (but also on-prem and in other clouds), working closely with DevOps engineers to deliver reliable, repeatable and resilient services - whether that be an Identity platform securing our customer's applications, building an open banking platforms for some of the biggest banks in Australia, or managing worldwide health networks. 

Our Engineers here at Versent are focused on building identity solutions - writing high quality, repeatable code, and resilient identity systems.  There is also plenty of room to be involved in architecture and design, as well as getting hands on with technologies across other domains. 
 
Skills & Responsibilities: 

• As a specialist, be passionate about Identity and Access Management – you will have experience with one or more of Ping, Okta, Forgerock, Sailpoint, CyberArk or similar products. 

• Demonstrated experience with federation and single sign on tools (such as Ping Federate) 

• Knowledge of federation standards, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect 

• Be a collaborator by nature - thrive in working in teams, and be a good communicator 

Also useful:  

• Experience with User Provisioning and/or IGA well regarded 

• Additional areas of IDAM knowledge – e.g Entra, LDAP directories, FAPI,Passkeys 

• IT security knowledge also well regarded - cryptography, computer security, MFA, mTLS, certificates, encryption standards, Passkeys etc. 

• Certifications – product certifications, CISSP or similar, etc. 

• DevOps experience is very helpful
