We are looking for a DevOps Platform Senior Specialist to join our Shared Services Factory.

DevOps Platform Senior Specialist is a professional engineer responsible for managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters on OCI and Fury distribution. You will work on infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, security, and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of our platform. This role involves working with on-premise and cloud environments, using a combination of Ansible, OCI-CLI, Helmfile, and Makefile to automate deployments. Additionally, the role includes 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis. 

 What You'll Do:

Cluster Deployment & Management 

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters on OCI (cloud) and Fury (on-premise). 

• Use Ansible Playbooks for on-prem deployments and OCI-CLI, Helmfile, and Makefile for cloud automation. 

• Optimize cluster configurations for performance and security. 

Monitoring & Logging 

• Set up and maintain monitoring using kube-prometheus-stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager). 

• Configure Fluent Bit and OpenSearch for centralized logging and log analysis. 

• Implement log forwarding to Splunk and integrate Alertmanager for alerting. 

Security & Access Control 

• Implement and manage RBAC permissions for developers. 

• Ensure secure access to clusters and services. 

Troubleshooting & Optimization 

• Diagnose and resolve issues across clusters, services, and networking layers. 

• Perform root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks, failures, and service disruptions. 

• Enhance cluster stability, availability, and resilience. 

Tooling & Automation 

• Work with Nginx Ingress Controller, Helm, Helmfile, Makefile, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Logging Operator. 

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using Bash, Ansible, and OCI-CLI. 

On-Call & Incident Response :

• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical issues and incidents. 

• Respond to platform outages, security threats, and system failures promptly. 

Who You Are:

• You have a Bachelor Degree of Computer Science. 

• You have Oracle Cloud Certifications, CKA, Linux systems. 

• Strong Kubernetes expertise, including cluster deployment and troubleshooting. 

• Experience with OCI-CLI, Helm, Helmfile, Makefile, and Ansible. 

• Hands-on knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, OpenSearch, Splunk, and Alertmanager. 

• Proficiency in Linux, Bash scripting, and networking fundamentals. 

• Experience with RBAC, security best practices, and log aggregation. 

• Familiarity with Dynatrace for performance monitoring is a plus. 

• Strong troubleshooting skills in containerized environments. 

• Ability to work under pressure and support a 24/7 on-call rotation. 

• Proficiency both in Italian and English language.
