POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Business Advisor, Technology, plays a pivotal role in delivering expert advisory services focused on digital strategy. This position involves leading projects that enhance clients' digital transformation efforts, ensuring high-quality solutions that drive business growth and resilience.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Advisory Services Delivery: Execute high-quality digital strategy solutions for entrepreneurs.

  • Project Management: Ensure successful project delivery by monitoring scope, budget, schedule, and objectives, and performing quality assurance on all projects and deliverables. Resource management of consultant(s) and vendor management are also critical activities.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends in cybersecurity and digital strategy to support the continuous development and enhancement of practice solutions and tools.

  • Business Development: Support business development efforts by conducting client need evaluations, developing proposals, and assisting with sales initiatives.

  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with Client Partners to transfer product and technical knowledge, deliver projects, and secure new mandates.

  • Marketing and Outreach: Develop marketing content and promote cybersecurity and digital strategy offerings through various outreach activities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field. Professional training in cybersecurity is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a consulting firm, with a proven track record in cybersecurity assessments, ISO 27001 implementation, and NIST frameworks.

  • Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).

  • Digital Strategy Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies, including current state assessments, systems analysis, future state planning, and solutions architecture.

  • Client Focus: Strong client and customer service orientation, with a commitment to delivering value to clients.

  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver both standard and custom consulting projects, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage in outreach, promotion, and business development activities.

  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel within a limited geographic area, with occasional travel to other locations across Canada, as required
