At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our UniQue team in Mons, Wallonia, Belgium!
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Oversee institution's Registration Authorities for the Enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Administer both virtualized and physical PKI infrastructure.
- Manage the full certificate lifecycle for end users and devices across all Certification Authorities.
- Maintain Windows Servers, RHEL systems, and VMware environments, including regular system log reviews.
- Operate and maintain Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Administer the Card Management System.
- Support and test integration of Entrust subcomponents connected to the Certification Authorities, particularly for new service deployments.
- Develop and maintain PKI-related standard operating procedures (SOPs); assist with IT services for PKI users.
- Handle the Institution’s ITSM ticketing system.
- Manage certificate issuance and Smart Card enrollment.
- Provide operational support for the Institution's exercises and missions.
- Supervise daily operations, including system management, backups, and restoration of PKI environments.
- Install and maintain all PKI components.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot Certification Authority-related issues; monitor system alerts, user activity, and interface interactions.
- Maintain system documentation, hardware/software inventories, and ensure regular patching of systems and applications.
- Available for after-hours support in case of emergencies or operational needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- University degree in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of specific professional experience.
- Strong expertise in modern communication and IP-based networking technologies, including security aspects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the design, development, and management of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of information security and cryptographic principles, including symmetric/asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, certificates, hash functions, and PKI-related encryption methods.
- Hands-on experience in system administration for Windows Servers, RHEL, and VMware environments.
- Solid understanding of computer and network security principles, as well as vulnerabilities in modern operating systems and applications.
- Experience with SQL database administration.
- Proficient in system backup and restoration processes.
- Practical skills in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of SSL, TLS, and OpenSSL protocols.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good knowledge of English
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certifications in VMware (VCA, VCP) and Linux RHEL system administration.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Solutions Expert (MCSE).
- Experience in the development and implementation of IT security policies.
