Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and support enterprise-level information security solutions.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets.
  • Analyze existing security processes to identify improvement opportunities and lead implementation of solutions.
  • Assist in the remediation of security issues with technology and business teams.
  • Establish and implement a repeatable process for tracking and reporting security issues.
  • Communicate cyber risks to team members and senior management regularly.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting and malware analysis using various tools
  • Collaborate and educate various teams on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with information security policies and procedures.
  • Develop, support, and manage security metrics and reporting.
  • Conduct phishing, social engineering, and tabletop exercises to simulate threats.

Requirements

  • Experience in technology with a focus on information security engineering and security tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Security+, ECH, or other security-related certifications desired.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Expertise with firewalls, identity management systems, next-generation antivirus, vulnerability assessment tools, SIEMs, MFA, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of event and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies/protocols such as DNS, DHCP, web proxy, and security protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud security solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR.
  • Familiarity with incident response processes and procedures.
