Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Patching and Vulnerability Engineer to join our dynamic Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities within our systems and networks.
This role is crucial in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure. Working closely with the local, regional and global CISO’s
Key Responsibilities will be:
- Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks.
- Patch Management: Work within the Global patching and vulnerability guidelines. To ensure timely application of security patches and updates across all systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely across the whole Technology department. Coordinating post implementation testing and sign off. Specifically, the Infrastructure, Desktop and Security teams.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on vulnerability findings and patching status for management and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to continuously improve the organisation's security posture.
- Incident Response: Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level teams and assist in crisis scenarios.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of patching schedules, vulnerability assessments, and remediation efforts.
Candidate Profile
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network infrastructure, and security tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, or ITIL are preferred.
- Communication: Strong communication, teamwork abilities, and strong skills to coordinate with stakeholders providing clear updates.
- Experience: Proven experience in vulnerability management, patch management, and incident response. Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards
- Tools: Proficiency in using vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Tenable, Nessus, Qualys) and patch management tools (e.g., ManageEngine, Intune).
