The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.

What you'll do:

• Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting multi-billion-dollar business.
• Work closely with product owner and technical lead and play a major role in the overall delivery of the assigned project/enhancements. 
•  Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Provide business insights while leveraging internal tools and systems, databases and industry data.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently will offer you a chance to grow your skills in a high-pace, high-impact environment.
• Contribute to system modernization by migrating legacy apps without creating a blip on the customer’s radar

What you'll bring:

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related field with 6-10 years of software development experience.
• Writing scalable, performant, maintainable code in one or more of the languages - Core Java, Spark, Python.
• Experience with Big data technologies majorly on SPARK
• Experience with event-based architecture such as Kafka, Rabbitmq, ActiveMQ, etc.
• Experience in Data Model design & CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Orchestration\Scheduling tools like Airflow/ Automic etc.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP.
• Hands-on experience in implementing modern software development practices like Agile (Scrum), BDD, TDD, etc.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes is a plus.
• Great communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts and techniques in simple terms relevant to the needs of the business.
• Good knowledge of common software development tools/technologies (Git, Java, Eclipse, Apache, MySQL, Oracle, NoSql databases, etc. ).
• Experience in Big Data applications is additional advantage.
• Experience in developing integrations between the systems
• Good knowledge of High-performance Stream processing, Large Scale Messaging Systems.
• Experience with designing systems for scale with Object-Oriented design concepts
• A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimize systems and tools.
