Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IAM Engineer with experience or interest in Okta's Identity and Access Management solutions to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will support and enhance our organization's identity and access management initiatives, helping us strengthen security and streamline user access across various applications.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support the organization’s IAM platform, with a primary focus on Okta, while also contributing to broader identity and access initiatives.

• Manage user lifecycle processes including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.

• Configure and support integrations between IAM systems and various cloud-based applications.

• Assist in developing and maintaining role-based access control (RBAC), policy creation, and group management.

• Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure IAM practices meet internal policies and regulatory requirements.

• Troubleshoot access issues and provide technical support for authentication and authorization services.

• Creating and managing Okta workflows or integrations with third-party APIs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience such as Support Engineer, Technical Support etc.

• 3+ years of professional experience in identity and access management (IAM) or related areas, ideally with some exposure to Okta or similar platforms.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Understanding of identity governance, directory services, and access control best practices.

• Knowledge of common authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP).

• Experience integrating IAM systems with enterprise applications and cloud services.

• Familiarity with multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and user provisioning tools.

• Interest or experience in automation and workflow development related to IAM tasks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices related to digital identity and access control.

Programming and Scripting:

• Experience or interest in working with REST APIs to integrate or automate processes in Okta.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

• Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to IAM.

• Willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques for Okta configurations and integrations.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Strong communication skills to clearly interact with team members and stakeholders.

• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Proactive attitude towards advancing tasks and projects.

Certifications (optional but beneficial):

• Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Administrator or Okta Certified Professional are advantageous but not required.
