About the role:

Monese is seeking a Head of Cyber Security to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is firstly enthused about implementing technology and secondly about reducing the risk that technology introduces.

This will cover a broad range of topics such as resilience, risk management and governance with a focus on cyber.

You will work cross-functionally owning and managing the communication, adoption and monitoring of technology/cyber risk across policy, process, people and technology. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Drive, own and support the delivery of initiatives across the technology estate and business functions

• Communicate clearly at all levels and possess the ability to ‘get things done’ flexibly and pragmatically

• Able to work effectively, quickly and with a high level of accuracy in a fast-moving and rapidly changing environment

• Not only manage the security team but help them build experience and knowledge.

• Previous experience of ‘starting from scratch is essential as the role requires building and maintaining a second-line function

• Excellent communication/convincing skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to peers and Leadership

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, while collaborating cross-functionally

• Appetite to fit traditional governance and risk management principles into an agile organisation

• Able to oversee, guide and build a security, resilience and technology improvement programme via a risk-based approach. High-level topics include:

  • Endpoint Security

• Proven track record of integrating new ways of thinking within a fast-paced organisation. Able to work closely with Infrastructure and Development engineers to find new ways to protect Monese and our customers

• Define/refine management information, including key risk indicators, program maturity indicators, key results, and roadblocks.
