About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst Intern to join our cybersecurity team for Summer 2025. This part-time position offers hands-on experience in information security operations, vulnerability assessment, and security monitoring. The ideal candidate has foundational IT knowledge, relevant certifications, and a passion for cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring security systems and identifying potential threats
  • Support security incident response and documentation processes
  • Help conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits
  • Participate in implementing security controls and best practices
  • Document security procedures and maintain security records
  • Collaborate with IT teams on security awareness initiatives
  • Research emerging cybersecurity trends and threats
  • Help in other related information security projects and endeavors

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Information Technology, Computer
  • Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Relevant Cyber/IT certifications
  • Basic understanding of network security concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through coursework or personal projects
  • Education or Experience in technical environments
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies
  • Project coordination experience
