Overview

Responsible for using information security related systems and procedures to ensure the protection of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets and technologies. Must work effectively with internal and external technical resources to properly respond to information security related events in a timely and confidential manner. Works collaboratively with employees to resolve security-related problems and safely enable business functions. Advocates for security awareness and proper security practices, including compliance with information security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential monitoring functions focused on security threats and potential indicators of security concerns, originating internally or externally. Act upon discovered events or conditions with appropriate level of urgency to initiate responses in accordance with the Cyber Incident Response Plan. Escalate attention as necessary or prescribed to achieve prompt and proper containment, eradication, and recovery of active threats. Work collaboratively with internal and external business line or technical contacts to achieve successful incident resolution. Serve in on-call response capacity as part of scheduled departmental on-call support rotation.
• Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical and security events associated with internally-detected or user-reported incidents and management requests. Maintain appropriate evidence and documentation to support due care requirements of incident investigations.
• Process end user and management requests for assistance with security-related issues impacting business functionality. Apply technical and customer service skills to address requests promptly and professionally.
• Remain knowledgeable in the field of Information Security and of current cyber threat trends. Maintain instructional task documentation to ensure up-to-date and consistent performance of key security-related business processes.
• Maintain accurate records in ticketing systems to support IT Service Management and internal control requirements. Provide accurate reporting to department and corporate management.

 

Qualifications

Education

Associate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent Information Technology field. (Required)

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent Information Technology field. (Preferred)

Experience

1 or more years IT experience. (Required)

1 or more years Information Security. (Preferred)

Certifications

Active Information Security certification is desired and preferred from authorities such as ISACA, ISC2, CompTIA, and SANS.org. (Preferred)

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

 

The salary range for this position is $54,900.00 - $91,500.00 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

 

This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
