We are seeking a skilled and motivated cyber security operation engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring security of HCF information systems and data. You will provide security insights, guidance, and expertise by leveraging your cyber experience, security technologies and industry best practice.

Key Accountabilities

  • The role will provide security insights, guidance and expertise by leveraging your cyber experience, security technologies, industry best practice, security incident response best practices and threat intelligence.
  • Provide technical assistance in the validation and evaluation of security risks, performing vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
  • Improve HCF’s security posture by working collaboratively with key stakeholders, colleagues, vendors and partners to discover required cyber control and security policy
  • Contribute to the delivery of a Cyber Security Program of Work, as well as other Programs across the HCF Group
  • Ability to identify Critical Assets, Vulnerabilities, and Threats to Security Operations
  • Broad understanding of IT Security principles associated with networks, internet, email, operating systems, firewalls, VPN's, databases, proxy, virus management, intrusion detection, cryptography and ecommerce, with high level expertise/specialisation in several of these fields.
  • Capability on reviewing Information technology architecture documentation and processes
  • Respond to attack notification or security tickets with proper investigation and escalation
  • Ability to articulate both verbally & visually complex ideas, approach, concepts, options, risks, impacts, and business value to technical, business and various stakeholders


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline, with proven experience in a similar Cyber Security role
  • Familiar with process of incident response process, risk assessment and log analysis
  • Provide support to team by analysing and triaging security events, assisting with incident investigation, and escalating critical issues as needed.
  • A thorough understanding of a variety of security tools including firewall, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Antivirus, security incident and event management, proxy
  • Implement security controls for key asset risks.
  • Secure business capabilities through consulting, contribution, and integration of security services.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles
  • Identify security Gaps detected and leading efforts to address and remediate.
  • Knowledge on any security services on Microsoft E5, Microsoft Azure, Proxy configuration and management, Endpoint Security, DLP (McAfee/Microsoft), Security Operations Centre
  • Communicate to stakeholder’s risk levels, adverse events and remediation plans
