The Security Engineer will have the opportunity to work remotely from within the United States.
The Security Engineer will play a critical role in securing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and responding to security incidents effectively. You will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures in Azure (Microsoft Windows Defender) and AWS environments, developing, managing backup and recovery strategies, and embedding security within our development and operational processes through a comprehensive Sec/Dev/Ops program.
As a Security Engineer, you will:
- Work with the Security & Governance Sr Manager to design, implement, and manage Azure cloud security solutions, ensuring the protection of our cloud-based assets.
- Work with the Security & Governance Sr Manager to design, implement and maintain Zscaler security controls.
- Develop and maintain a robust backup and recovery strategy to ensure data availability and integrity in the event of an incident.
- Participate with the Security and Governance team in incident response efforts, including the identification, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents.
- Participate with the Security & Governance team in developing and implementing a Sec/Dev/Ops program to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and operational workflows.
- Participate with the Security & Governance team in CB’s SOC 2 and CMMC audit-related activities (i.e., evidence collection, auditor interviews, etc.)
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to create automated security testing, monitoring, and response solutions.
- Conduct regular security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate risks in the cloud environment – with the goal of increasing CB’s Microsoft Secure Score.
- Stay current with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance our security posture.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on Azure security best practices, secure coding techniques, and incident response procedures.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in cloud network security engineering, specifically with Azure cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Defender and Azure security features, backup and recovery strategies, and incident response frameworks.
- Experience in developing and implementing Sec/Dev/Ops programs and CI/CD security practices.
- Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proficient with security tools and technologies relevant to cloud security and incident response.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Pay Range:
$66,785 to $105,000
