Security Specialist Operations

Introduction to the job

As a Security specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity and availability of our technologies and infrastructure. You will work closely with infrastructure, engineering and security team to monitor, detect and respond to threats, implement security best practices and support compliance with internal and external security standards.

Role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the security initiatives on Microsoft Security and other technology used in ASML. Together with the team, which consist out of a combination of onsite and offshore members, you will coordinate tasks and responsibilities.

You will take part in the implementation of security initiatives and will design and optimize processes and procedures. You will analyze security requirements, possible new tooling and technology available and initiate and drive improvements on existing processes and procedures.

• Monitor security systems and infrastructure for potential threats or vulnerabilities

• Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/ prevention systems ( IDS/IPS) and endpoint protection.

• Perform regular security audits, risk assessments

• Collaborate with IT Operations to securely configure and maintain servers, networks and cloud environments

• Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures and standards.

• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Education and experience

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field.

• 5+ years professional experience in a security operations or IT infrastructure role.

• Experience in implementation of security initiatives and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of networking protocols, system hardening and cloud security ( Azure, GSP).

• Experience working in an Agile environment; familiarity with SAFe principles is a strong advantage.

• Experience developing automation scripts to enhance security monitoring, reporting.

• CISSP/CISM or comparable certification, CCSP certification is a plus.
