CAAT focuses on countering brand abuse and cyber threats to Navy Federal’s Members. The Cyber Security Analyst II will ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for handling cases, writing reports, and expanding collections. Works under minimal supervision.
- Triage and investigate daily tactical intelligence referrals of fraud images through internal case management systems
- Perform ad-hoc open-source intelligence research and investigations using available platforms like the open internet, social media, or vendor access to deep and dark web sites to support internal stakeholder research requests
- Create written CAAT Intelligence Reports and products using established report templates and style guides
- Conduct open-source intelligence research and discovery to identify new fraud trends
- Identify and monitor online communities of interest to augment CAAT intelligence sources and collection capabilities
- Leverage vendor and Open-Source tools to quickly handle cases, analyze, and report on the variety of topics the team
- Develop internal documentation, such as detailed procedures, playbooks and operational metrics reports
- Recommend source or content development based on responsibilities and improving procedures
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
- Perform peer review of written intelligence reports
- Execute daily ad-hoc tasks or lead small projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Experience in cyber threat intelligence, cyber security and/or information technology (IT) security
- Familiarity with the concepts of social engineering, phishing, credential harvesting or other threat intelligence relevant to financial institutions
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Effective skill in to collaborating with other teams on time sensitive incidents
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal operations, products, policies and procedures
- Experience with Open Source and Vendor Cyber Threat Intelligence Tools
- Working knowledge of IT Security Standards and Frameworks including ISO and NIST
- Military/government training; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Information Studies, Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
