Job Summary:

The Experienced Senior Associate will be responsible for assisting with data analytics, computer forensics and e-Discovery projects resulting from the identification, collection, analysis and reporting of ESI. Responsibilities will include assisting in developing work plans for clients, data collection, analysis of data, supporting one or more project managers and the creation of technical reports.   The candidate should have a solid understanding of the field of digital forensics and a good working knowledge of the e-Discovery marketplace.


Job Duties:

Leadership

  • Stays on top of industry and technology trends, new tools, and overall knowledge of the forensic technology marketplace in the service of our clients and the digital forensic team
  • Serves as a mentor to other team members
     

Client Management

  • Manages multiple projects across the assigned portfolio of clients
  • Assists in cultivating and deepening client level relationships using a true consultative approach 
  • Responds directly to client requests and provides consultation within the framework of our practice service model
  • Assists in developing and actively communicating project plans for clients, including consultation on processes and tools to meet project goals
  • Translates highly technical information to non-technical clients

Technology

  • Uses and leverages a broad range of outputs from varied commercial collection and analysis toolkits (ex. Encase, FTK, Axiom, Cellebrite, USB Detective, FTK Imager, TD2U)
  • Analyzes and provides meaningful insights, interpretations, and guidance by leveraging data intelligence and data mining solutions (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Advanced E-Discovery, trend analyses) to educate and consult with clients in regard to analysis findings


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, Management Consulting, Management Information Sciences, preferred

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years of digital forensics and/or incident response experience, required
  • Experience with creating affidavits, declarations, and reports of findings, preferred  
  • Experience in project management for complex investigative matters involving varied data sources and jurisdictions, preferred 
  • Prior expert testimony via deposition, hearings, or trial, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Two (2) or more industry certifications strongly, preferred.  Example certifications include: EnCE, CCE, ACE, GCFE, CCE, CCPA

Software:

  • Proficiency in Encase, FTK and Cellebrite, required 
  • Proficiency in Google Vault and O365 administrative consoles, preferred 
  • Proficiency in Axiom and with TD2U devices, preferred 

Language:

  • Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, and/or Hindi, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and basic research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information
  • Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm 
  • Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
  • A strong desire to learn continually and grow professionally 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice 
  • Comfortable working in a team-based environment and supporting others
  • Desire to be part of an exciting, rapidly growing organization 
  • Ability to work autonomously with flexibility and excellent judgment
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.   California Range: $90,000 - $130,000
