ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Deployment Project Manager to oversee domestic and international network and server installation projects for our client in Chantilly, VA.

This is a Key Position requiring exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills. The successful candidate will lead a team of Network and Server Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on complex global federal IT infrastructure projects, ensuring successful project delivery and adherence to stringent government and ManTech standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of domestic and international network and server installation projects, leading a team of SMEs on global federal IT infrastructure projects.

  • Program/Team Management: Manage the overall coordination, management, and service delivery of a strategic program, specifically in the areas of domestic and international network and server refreshes, ensuring successful outcomes. Manage a team of SMEs to provide network and server infrastructure analysis, short- and long-term plans and schedules for IT infrastructure requirements definition, selection, procurement, installation, maintenance, and production activities.

  • Reporting/ Financial Management: Manage the delivery of operational status reporting, daily status reports for deployments, recurring team activity reports, and other reporting as requested by stakeholders. Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams on ordering, budgeting, and procurement activities for the Network/Server team.

  • Scheduling/ Logistics: Develop, maintain, and report on a refresh schedule for all domestic and overseas network/server sites in accordance with customer requirements. Coordinate logistics with other functional elements of the contract (e.g., equipment forecasting and ordering, shipping and receiving, deployment, travel coordination, training, etc.)

  • Process Improvement: Manage pre- and post-installation activities such as dry runs, lessons learned, and root cause analysis efforts with team members and cross-functional teams.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional organizations and teams to manage and support nationally and internationally deployed network and server installation teams on a 24/7 basis.

  • Customer Liaison/ Professional Conduct: Coordinate with applicable customer points of contact to arrange network and server installations and minimize disruptions to on-going activities. Exhibit excellent judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adhering to professional standards and operational and security guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on infrastructure deployment and support.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology and PMP Certification

  • Demonstrated organizational proficiency to include excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing technical teams composed of direct reports and subcontractors.

  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation such as SOPs, installation checklists, etc.

  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.

  • Ability to deliver clear and effective communication to deliver updates, briefings, meetings, and presentations.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Information technology certifications (MS-MCP, CompTIA, CISSP, etc.) preferred.

  • A current and active Secret clearance is strongly preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position and maintain a Secret clearance thereafter.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment and move within the space.

  • Must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, IT service requests, and work orders.

  • Must be able to physically lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to perform installation work in constrained spaces like under work desks, in small cubicles, and network/server rooms.
