The Role

Cyber Resiliency Consultant with strong cross-industry point of view and can advise, analyze, and support a client developing strategies for Cyber Resiliency recovery.  Candidates need to have the ability to develop, construct and implement Business Service and Technical Recovery Plans to support the recovery of business services to meet the defined maximum outage tolerances as prioritised by the client business units.  Candidate is expected to advise clients on methods, tools, and accelerators to develop and /or adopt the correct approach to support the resumption of their critical business processes through the technical recovery of the applications, data and technology platforms supporting those business processes. Candidate must have the ability to identify and assess risks (residual, material and potential) and to propose mitigations to manage or remove the risks identified with a view to improving the client’s compliance posture. Candidate should have experience and knowledge of the wide range of technologies typically deployed by an enterprise e.g. mainframe, mid-range, virtual/physical and cloud platforms and have the ability to determine the synchronization required from the recovery plans for different deployment models.  Candidate should aspire to achieve 'client advisor' status by demonstrating recognizable industry use cases.

As a Security and Resiliency Consultant, you'll be the guardian of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, ensuring organizations are shielded from the ever-evolving threat landscape. Your expertise will be sought after as you assess, analyze, and implement effective security and Resiliency measures in customer environments, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to safeguarding their most sensitive data.

Collaboration will be your forte, as you work closely with clients to understand their unique security requirements and assess their current security posture. Armed with this knowledge, you'll provide expert guidance and recommendations on the best security and Resiliency practices, risk management strategies, and robust security and Recovery policies that will fortify their defences and Resiliency.

You won't stop at providing advice; you'll roll up your sleeves and get hands-on. Designing and implementing security and Resiliency controls, policies, and procedures will be your playground. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to deploy state-of-the-art technologies, including recovery orchestration, Data Protection, platform and data recovery, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access controls, and encryption technologies, ensuring a comprehensive security and Resiliency framework.

Armed with your extensive knowledge, you'll conduct thorough security assessments, leaving no stone unturned in identifying potential security breaches. Your findings will serve as the foundation for meticulous security audits and reviews, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Your reports and findings will be the catalyst for management decisions and actions.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Cyber Resiliency consulting and implementation, with a strong understanding of security and resiliency principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish business tolerance of risk, design Service and Recovery Plans to mitigate the risks.
  • Have a strong PoV on required capabilities to build and implement to meet business and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience identifying and managing risks related to the use of processing, storing, or transmitting information to reduce or eliminate impact, integrity, or availability of information and information systems
  • Experience conducting security and risk assessments using security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Common Criteria)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex Cyber Resilience concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to adapt to changing security and resiliency threats and technologies and stay updated with the latest security trends and best practices
     

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies
  • Understanding and application of NIST Control Framework, Critical Security Controls, and other related regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with cloud security and recovery, cyber resiliency/incident management, Zero Trust, network/EDGE security, and emerging technologies such as IoT and AI
  • Experience with multi-platform and site recovery designs.
  • Experience with data protection solutions including Orchestration (GDPS/GDDR), Alliance technologies including, Dell EMC/ IBM / Rubrik / Veeam / Commvault etc.
