Why this role matters:

As the Information Security Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing and implementing security strategies and best practices, overseeing 24x7 security operations, oversight of cybersecurity tools/vendors, and ensuring the protection of the organization's sensitive information from internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the security engineering and operations team, fostering growth through training and guidance.
• Strategic Security Planning: Develop and implement a security strategy aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
• Incident & Risk Management: Oversee 24x7 incident response efforts and proactively identify and manage security risks across systems and applications.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, ISO 27001, NIST) through strong policy enforcement and controls.
• Security Architecture & Tools: Design secure infrastructure and manage key cybersecurity tools to protect data and systems.
• Security Culture & Awareness: Promote organization-wide security awareness through education, training, and resource programs.
• Cross-Team Collaboration & Vendor Oversight: Collaborate with internal teams on secure integration and manage third-party vendors to uphold security standards.

What you’ll bring:

Required:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive Engineering Experience within engineering roles (software development, database engineering, QA), and technical leadership or team management.
• Security & Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of industry security and compliance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, PCI, and HIPAA.
• Risk & Incident Management: Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and effective response to security incidents.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS, GCP).
• Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead high-performing teams with excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic problem-solving skills.
• DevSecOps Integration: Hands-on experience embedding security into the software development lifecycle using DevSecOps principles and practices.

Experience we consider a plus:

• Knowledge of UCaaS, CCaaS, and CPaaS technologies and architectures.
• Knowledge of emerging security trends and threat intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with automation tools for security monitoring and reporting.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH a plus.
