The Role…

Soho House are currently in search of a Director of Information Security to take the reins as our senior-most authority on cybersecurity and infrastructure.  The group are committed to building secure, resilient systems that support our growth and protect what matters most—our data, our people, and our customers. As our organisation evolves, we are seeking a seasoned and technically proficient professional. 

We are looking for a leader with a strong technical foundation—someone who has built their career in cybersecurity via an infrastructure background and can operate both strategically and hands-on. A background in Oracle ERP would be highly desirable.

Within this role you will hold primary accountability for safeguarding our digital environment. As the designated point of contact for any data-related incident—regardless of scale— you will lead our incident response and disaster recovery planning, ensuring readiness and resilience.

You will also be responsible for shaping and executing our overarching security strategy, including governance, reporting, and a clearly defined roadmap whilst leading the company’s efforts in data privacy compliance.

 

Main Duties…

  • Data Incident Point of Contact: Serve as the single point of contact for any data-related issue.
  • Incident & Disaster Response: Own and maintain the incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  • Security Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute on the information security strategy, governance framework, reporting structure, and roadmap.
  • External & Regulatory Interface: Manage external stakeholders, including insurance providers, NCS, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
  • Data Privacy Compliance: Lead all data privacy compliance efforts.
  • Training & Awareness: Oversee and ensure execution of annual cybersecurity training programs.
  • Security Operations Oversight: Provide hands-on oversight of day-to-day security operations.
  • Vendor Oversight: Manage relationship and performance of Bridewell (external cybersecurity partner).
  • Infrastructure Accountability: Hold accountability for the company’s infrastructure, working in partnership with our Group Head of Infrastructure
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Digital leads and serve as a mentor and leader to internal team members.

 

What We Are Looking For…

  • Director level leader with proven, extensive, hands-on expertise in Cybersecurity and Infrastructure with prior leadership of technical and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading information security in a company of similar or larger scale.
  • A background in Oracle ERP would be highly desirable 
  • Previous experience Hospitality or retail sector experience is desirable
  • Successful experience in managing third-party security vendors and external partners.
  • Demonstrates strong technical expertise with the ability to take a hands-on approach to problem-solving; not limited to purely strategic or functional responsibilities.

  • Proven resilience, with experience successfully leading through complex, high-pressure cybersecurity and infrastructure challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively across digital and business functions.
  • Highly adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Being a member of a chartered institute (eg CIISec) would be an advantage
