The Role
Our Solution Architects work closely with the Sales community to workshop and design detailed technical solutions. The primary value of this role is to understand a client’s existing technical landscape and to understand their desired outcomes and build a detailed technical solution which meets the identified business objectives, engaging with clients and prospects to generate positive interest in the technologies we are working with and the business benefits that can be gained from the investment in these technologies.
Main Activities and Duties:
Engage with clients to capture complex solution requirements
Quickly and accurately turn around transactional business
Competently use vendor pricing & design tools, working alongside internal stakeholders on commercial elements of proposed solutions
Creation of vendor “Bill of Materials” and use of internal design tools
Creation of clear and concise client facing documentation
Maintain great relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted technical point of contact
Shadow and support Solutions Architects and Managing Architects / Design Team Leaders as required.
Help Solutions Architects prepare Showcase environment to support client demos
Assist with Showcase presentations
Share insight and knowledge where appropriate, helping to grow the overall knowledge of the procurement team on our propositions
Requirements
Natilik's Solution Architects are expected to have experience in designing and deploying Cisco Security Solutions, ideally working as a Pre-Sales Consultant or similar.
The following skills would make for a great addition to our team:
Security
Experience designing and deploying Zero Trust solutions leveraging capabilities such as SD-Access, ISE, Umbrella etc. for Enterprise level clients
Experience designing solutions leveraging the following firewall technologies - Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, or Cisco Meraki
Design, configuration, and deployment experience of NAC solutions (Cisco ISE preferable)
Exposure to other security technologies such as email security; content security and advanced analytics advantageous
Highly technical background with proven experience designing and delivering enterprise grade security solutions
CCNP Security and/or Networking
Desirable experience:
Given the variety of solutions we deliver, any experience with the following technology areas would also be extremely advantageous, but not essential:
Enterprise Networking:
Understanding and experience of the Cisco Routing and Switching product portfolio
Architecture and provisioning of solutions within MPLS or SD-WAN based environments (specifically Cisco/Meraki based architecture)
Design experience of Cisco switching technology and protocols including Software Defined Access
Automation and orchestration tools and features and DevOps methodology (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Vendor specific tools like Cisco DNA Center)
Cloud
Advanced working knowledge and certification against at least one of the major public cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, MS Azure)
Experience programmatically deploying and managing multi-cloud environments (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet etc.)
Experience designing and delivering mission critical multi-cloud deployments underpinned by DevOps practices
Design experience of Cisco Nexus, DNAC and ACI data centre technology
Experience of Cisco UCS product range
Understanding and experience of Hyperconverged Infrastructure technology (inc. Cisco Hyperflex)
Understanding of storage technologies and platforms such as Pure Storage, NetApp and EMC
Coding skills to support DevOps (Python, REST API, GIT etc.)
Working knowledge of containerisation e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
