Position Specific Description

This position resides in the Cyber Intelligence and Government Affairs (CIGA), a functional group in Cybersecurity within Information Technology. Cybersecurity is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information and computing networks, through the proactive identification, collection, and management of holistic threat intelligence.
 
As the Manager of the Cyber Threat Intelligence, you will be expected to interact with all NextEra Energy Business Units and subsidiaries to establish a shared intelligence model. You will collect, process, report and coordinate intelligence efforts as well as develop and establish maturity growth strategies for the program and team.  In this role managing the cyber threat intelligence program, you will work with cutting-edge and innovative cybersecurity related technologies.
 
This role is responsible for:

  • Setting strategic development goals for the intelligence team and enhancing the intelligence collections strategy
  • Managing Priority and Critical Intelligence Requirements (PIR/CIR)
  • Processing, documenting, and managing intelligence from various data sources and platforms
  • Organizing and maintain our intelligence repository of technical indicators, intelligence reports, briefings, feeds, etc.
  • Coordinating collection through hunting, vulnerability identification, and response efforts
  • Developing and managing risk rankings, threat level analysis matrices, and risk based analysis of Company operation

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Effective at communicating at all levels, including executive levels, of the organization (e.g., technical and non-technical verbal & written communication abilities)
  • Proven success in cyber intelligence and/or counter-intelligence roles with the ability to correlate that to business value
  • Ability to understand key security controls and how they factor into assessing overall security risk
  • Ability to operate under pressure and multi-task, must demonstrate strong bias for action, follow-through and personal leadership
  • Knowledge of various types of common technologies used across enterprises such as Microsoft Windows, Unix and other common types of applications and protocols, to include technological layered defense concepts and hardware
  • Understanding of computer networking technologies and architectures
  • Must be willing to travel 10% of the time, work extended hours when needed and able to qualify for and hold NRC clearance and NERC CIP access
  • Ability to perform required duties and tasks on-call 24x7 as situation dictates

  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
  • Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
  • Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
