Job Description

  • Implementation and administration of Network security controls and management strategies to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and compliance of the organization’s network information assets.
  • Comply with the organizations network security policies and standards
  • Carry out operational network security support activities to ensure that the organization’s network is not compromised in anyway. The operational support activities includes administration and management of next generation firewalls, internet gateways, Internet based DDOS protection, Internet traffic advertisement and filtering, intrusion prevention and detection systems as well as ensuring that only secure services are permitted across the network.
  • Configuration and administration of SSL VPN connections from public networks to Bank's network
  • Design and Implement network architecture for Application and Network related projects
  • Administer remote VPN tools ensuring ease of remote work for staff and partners
  • Implement and manage connectivity with 3rd party partners over IPSEC VPN and MPLS networks
  • Manage Cisco network devices for connectivity across network segments (DMZ, Internet, etc)
  • Ensure that all incidents are responded to, actioned and resolved within the required MTTR. Also ensure that calls are escalated and communicated to the required support area and user where necessary.
  • It is imperative that housekeeping activities are conducted regularly as per the job requirements.
  • Demonstrate high level competence with regards to enterprise network security systems
  • Work in tandem with the operational security and information security functions to ensure protection of the organizations information assets.

Qualifications

  • First degree in Computer Science or any IT related discipline
  • Professional qualification in CCNA, CEH, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of post qualification experience
  • IT security Experience/ communication or Network experience.
  • Experience in a variety of network management tools, test equipment, circuits and routers
  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter-networking
  • Experience designing/implementing QoS in an enterprise environment, checkpoint, Cisco switches and routers
