Job Description

About the Role  

We are looking for an Intelligence Lead to lead our new Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU), a team that sit’s within Sibylline’s Global Intelligence Team (GIT). Reporting to the GIT management, you will join a team of security specialists providing incident and threat monitoring, update briefs, research duties and intelligence analysis.  

The team is responsible for a range of critical responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the client’s personnel, operations and assets. This includes responsibility for data monitoring, tailored social media monitoring solutions and intelligence analysis/reporting. The team are also responsible for disseminating mass communications concerning global events that hold the potential to impact the well-being of client’s personnel, valuable assets and business operations. You will also be responsible for developing, refining and delivering analysis products aligned to client requirements. 

This is a fast-paced and varied role that will provide top-quality support and guidance to our embedded staff. You will lead a team that use the latest industry tools and practices to identify, analyse, and advise on a range of adverse conditions that could impact the client, including (not limited to): political and economic instability, social unrest, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, natural hazards, cyber threats, and reputational risks.  

Responsibilities   

  • Overall responsibility for the intelligence output of the team, including maintaining 24/7 coverage
  • Support the team delivery and continuous improvement of a global threat monitoring function through intelligence output
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand business requirements and set objectives for improving the quality of service
  • Ensure quality assurance and refinement of analytical product suites that are timely, credible, and provide actionable insight to client stakeholders
  • Coordinate with other Sibylline leads to ensure effective liaison, communication and operational alignment
  • Lead project and change management, adapting products and processes to the needs of the business
  • Work to optimise processes and SOPs for delivering emergency notifications and assessments to internal customers
  • Work closely with the Principal Protective Intelligence Analyst to ensure that client intelligence requirements are met
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of all TIU analysts 
  • Respond to any training and development needs of the analysts, working with the wider Global Intelligence Team to pull resources as necessary
  • Identify opportunities for continual improvement in Sibylline’s delivery of premium staffing quality and client service, including responsiveness to new business requests
  • Work with Principal Protective Intelligence Analyst to affect change management, adapting products and processes to the needs of the business.  

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, International Relations or related field
  • Experience running an intelligence team, with a strong understanding of corporate risk management and reporting structures within large organisations
  • Ability to prioritise, organise, delegate and follow up on tasks, with a focus on strategic intelligence, monitoring of trends and horizon scanning
  • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in private sector security, corporate intelligence and/or geopolitical analysis – within this at least 2 years of management experience
  • Strong understanding of the threat intelligence sector, particularly related to account development or program management in corporate security, investigations, intelligence, and/or risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, with a strong intuition for client care and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring and developing others
  • Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented in all aspects of work
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality in managing sensitive client and employee issues;  
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly forge positive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
  • High level of competency with MS Office. 
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

Nice to have  

  • Advanced (Master’s or above) degree in a relevant subject; 
  • Foreign language skills
  • Practical experience as an intelligence analyst or researcher in the corporate security sector
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role in a commercial setting
  • Previous experience managing larger, globally distributed teams
  • Experience with threat monitoring technology 
  • Experience supporting shift scheduling and shift work.
