Syensqo is seeking a Senior SAP BTP & Basis Specialist with strong technical expertise in managing SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP environments such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, Gateway and SAP NW AS ABAP & JAVA as a whole from a Basis standpoint. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS and IPS), SAP Cloud Connector and basic understanding of integration scenarios  along with a solid background in SAP Basis administration tasks across HANA/Linux and SAP ASE (Sybase)/Linux platforms. Experience with Integration Suite is highly valued, though not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP BTP & Cloud Identity Services
  • Administer and support non-functional SAP BTP demands
  • Manage Cloud Identity Services (IAS and IPS) for user authentication and secure integrations.
  • Support BTP-related tasks such as: Setting up destinations, trust and identity providers, managing the SAP Cloud connector configuration
  • Assist with implementing cloud-based integrations and extensions as needed, from a Basis standpoint (Eg: destinations, IAS setup, Cloud connector, etc)
• S/4HANA & ECC Basis Support
  • Manage system installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations
  • Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance optimizations
• System Administration & Performance
  • Monitor system performance and manage system landscapes (including high availability and disaster recovery setups).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common and complex technical issues related to SAP systems, databases (SAP HANA,  SAP ASE – Sybase and MaxDB), and applications.
• Technical Upgrades & Patches
  • Apply support packages, kernel upgrades, and security patches while minimizing system downtime.
  • Coordinate and execute system and database minor and major upgrades.
• Project Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, developers, infrastructure) to support SAP projects, including implementations, migrations, and major upgrades.
  • Ensure seamless transition between project phases and provide post-go-live stabilization support.
• Documentation & Best Practices
  • Document technical procedures, system configurations, and best practices.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team and with key stakeholders.

Education and experience*

Indicate the required education in terms of minimum years of education, required type of degree, field of studies, etc. and the required knowledge and/or experience in terms of minimum years of experience in the respective field 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM and CISSP) are preferred.
