Overview
The Compliance and Privacy Analyst is responsible for supporting regulatory and policy adherence to state, federal, and local regulations. This position requires proficiency in current OPWDD, OMH, State Education, and Medicaid regulations including the ability to interpret, train, and implement processes and workflow to support adherence.

Salary: $25-$27 per hour
Responsibilities
- Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations by:
- Partnering with Director of Quality Standards to develop and implement an annual compliance workplan, policies, and procedures
- Conducting regularly scheduled internal audits in accordance with the compliance workplan
- Oversee corrective action plans in response to audits from the compliance workplan, including monitoring of new systems and workflows for effectiveness
- Participate in the review, investigation, and follow up for Racker hotline
- Track and compile audit reports for Quality Standards team.
- Maintain organized records of compliance documents, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with program leadership to maintain agency licensing requirements and prepare for external audits and inspections.
- Partner with the Information Security Officer and Director of Quality Standards to ensure HIPAA and privacy standards are upheld, including:
- Conduct periodic privacy audits
- Identify and problems solve privacy risk areas
- Review requests for records to ensure all compliant with laws, regulations, and meet agency policies and standards
- Lead policy and process development on records retention strategies to streamline consistent and compliant storage and maintenance of agency files.
- Participate in compliance meetings with agency leadership
- Generate compliance reports to the Quality Standards Director as requested, including metrics and trends to improve data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with IT and the Quality Standards team to identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to improve departmental efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve opportunities for data-driven decision making
- Assist with analysis of trend reports for QS functional areas, including incident management, compliance and quality improvement.
- Work with programs and QS team to determine gaps in assessment/ analyses/ risk management.
- Support implementation of agency standards(compliance) and policies as well as regulations from various state oversight agencies.
- Develop and facilitate assigned trainings/ learning opportunities on compliance and privacy.
- Assist with contract review and management.
- Other team and office duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree preferred in relevant field
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated ability in administration, organizational development, and project management a plus.
- Strong skills in data analysis, interpersonal communication, and innovative problem-solving.
- Proficiency in various software applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and tools such as Evolv, eVero, DayForce, Absorb, and conference room equipment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to operate standard office equipment and ability to do some lifting of up to 30lbs
