About the Job

Were seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from experienced and skilled Security Analysts to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you'll be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents across Defence environments. You will work alongside other cybersecurity professionals to protect critical systems, investigate threats, and enhance overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real time.
• Analyse logs, network traffic, and threat intelligence to identify risks.
• Assist in triaging, containment, and remediation of security events.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior analysts or engineers.
• Maintain detailed incident documentation and reporting.
• Support vulnerability assessments and compliance efforts.

About You

• Australian Citizen with a minimum AGSVA NV1 Clearance.
• Proven experience in a cybersecurity role in a Defence environment.
• Strong understanding of security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
• Familiarity with threat landscapes, attack vectors, and response strategies.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, SANS, CISSP highly desirable).
