ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Application Technical Manager to join our team in Bremerton, WA at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.. This is an onsite position.

As an Application/Technical Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Navy’s Logistics Data System (LDS), providing critical support and managing system enhancements. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with users and developers to ensure the LDS's operational excellence. You'll maintain the LDS's integrity, resolve complex issues, and drive continuous improvement, all within a team that values innovation and employee development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the management of the Navy’s Logistics Data System (LDS)
  • Provide exceptional customer support to a diverse client base with varying needs
  • Act as the liaison between Users and Developers to manage system enhancement requests, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Manage scheduling for the installation, integration of hardware, system fixes, updates, and enhancements
  • Demonstrate proficiency with both Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ and Unix Operating Systems
  • Operate and manage Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), including both Oracle and Microsoft SQL
  • Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), including table relationships and views, to perform data queries and troubleshooting
  • Apply strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills throughout the TCP/IP stack
  • Resolve complex and non-routine technical issues in a timely and efficient manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related scientific discipline or 6 years of additional equivalent experience in related fields in lieu of Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of IT experience, particularly in IT system administration or related fields
  • Must possess an active IAT II Cybersecurity Workforce IA Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain an Operating System Certificate (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) and the protection of Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program Information (NNPI)
  • Experience with the IBM AIX Operating System
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create reports and manipulate data in response to customer requirements

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret security clearance prior to starting this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time
  • Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or challenging environments as required
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as printers
  • Occasionally lift materials or office equipment up to 25 lbs

The projected compensation range for this position is $63,700.00-$105,800.00.
