I. Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to join our Supply Chain department as a Strategic Sourcing Manager - Operational Technology & Cybersecurity. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day procurement activities of an Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity program while also supporting broader category management and strategic sourcing efforts within related technology areas such as cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and OT-connected devices.

This role requires a blend of strategic and tactical procurement expertise, contract negotiation skills, and project management capabilities to ensure effective sourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical mindset, and a technical background in IT, OT, or cybersecurity is highly desirable.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Candidates must be able to successfully execute the following duties. Other minor tasks may be assigned as needed:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
    • Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies for OT cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and related technology domains.
    • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting processes for hardware, software, and services to support cybersecurity initiatives and OT security programs.
    • Identify and evaluate suppliers through RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity program requirements and company objectives.
    • Partner with internal cybersecurity, IT, and OT teams to understand technology roadmaps and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Procurement Execution & Supplier Management
    • Coordinate with Purchasing team to review and approve OT and Cybersecurity purchase requisitions & purchase orders and manage OT and Cybersecurity supplier agreements, ensuring timely procurement of critical OT security solutions.
    • Maintain supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance, resolving service delivery issues and ensuring compliance with contractual commitments.
    • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to drive cost savings, improve service levels, and enhance cybersecurity resilience.
  • Contract Negotiation & Risk Management
    • Negotiate commercial and legal terms for software licensing, service contracts, and cybersecurity tools, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
    • Ensure supplier agreements align with cybersecurity compliance standards, data security requirements, and regulatory obligations.
    • Mitigate supply chain risks by proactively addressing licensing, warranty, service, and support terms.
  • Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Support and execute procurement project management activities, including milestone tracking, vendor onboarding, and contract lifecycle management.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, OT, cybersecurity, legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities within broader business objectives.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership on sourcing initiatives, cost savings, and vendor performance.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities 

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports but requires extensive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Technology, or a related field; or, in lieu of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
    • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or contract negotiation.
  • Preferred:
    • 3+ years of experience managing technology procurement, particularly within cybersecurity, networking, OT, or IT infrastructure.
    • Strong familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, or other cybersecurity frameworks is a plus.

B. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • No specific certifications are required, but CPSM, PMP, CISSP, or ITIL certifications are a plus.

C. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of IT and OT cybersecurity procurement, including hardware, software, services, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, including master agreements, software licensing, SaaS agreements, and professional services contracts.
  • Ability to analyze complex procurement challenges and develop data-driven sourcing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project management experience, including tracking milestones and ensuring procurement deliverables align with program objectives.
  • Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle) and e-sourcing tools.

V. Work Environment The work environment will primarily be office-based, with occasional travel to vendor sites, industry conferences, or operational facilities as needed.
