Job Summary:

KBR is seeking an IT Business Process Principal - Cybersecurity Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will act as a liaison between IT groups and business units for the enhancement and maturation of existing IT services and implementation of new IT services. Evaluates current processes, subscriber agreements, and requirements and supports leadership to adjust to evolving business needs by recommending and implementing appropriate solutions and alternatives. Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within the overall assigned portfolio of projects. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.

The ideal candidate is a proven problem solver: strong project management skills and ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholder groups to drive successful outcomes; experience developing project schedules, managing project resources, leading detailed requirements, estimating size and effort for new development projects. Working with both direct contract work and indirect KBR funded initiatives. Naval Information Warfare Center and Defense Health Agency experience and strong knowledge of intra-division and inter-agency collaboration with DHA subscribers such as the VA, Coast Guard, DHMS, and others are required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic, complex program(s) to transform key cyber related services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to strategically shape program(s); lead execution
  • Assist in develop and implement strategic plans: Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to identify and establish long-term goals and objectives for the organization's cybersecurity framework.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, and industry partners to drive collaboration and business opportunities.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional networks and represent the company's expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security operations, network engineering, and software development, to ensure the successful implementation of cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations, and industry standards to provide thought leadership and guidance to clients.
  • Provide technical managerial expertise and guidance during client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to showcase the value of our strategic cybersecurity solutions.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the evolving cyber and information technology landscape.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or Doctorate in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 12+years of applicable progressively complex systems design experience, including hardware/software solution integration of complex systems.
  • Knowledge of DHA’s core business/mission
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification and relevant ITSM certification(s) preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, think independently and problem solve to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner
