More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Intern Product Security Center of Excellence in Eindhoven with Signify.

Connected lighting products are not only devices, but systems and services, hence data. As such, they are exposed to threats coming from cyber space with greater impact. One of the most critical prerequisites for our success is ensuring the security of our offerings and related information end-to-end. The speed of innovation has increased drastically, and the scope of product security has been expanded: from electronics components (hardware) only, to software, communications and information technology, engineering systems and data analytics. The Product Security Center of Excellence is a team of seasoned security experts that is responsible for the security of our professional connected lighting systems.

To support our work we have several processes around risk, vulnerability and incident management, activities in the Security Development Lifecycle as well as organizing training and awareness sessions for the Product Security Community. The Signify Product Security Community is a dedicated platform designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among product security professionals across Signify. The Signify Product Security Community offers amongst others:

• Informative and interactive webinars featuring in-depth discussions on a wide range of product security topics.
• Access to Product Security process documents, news updates and best practices, located within the community platform in Sharepoint.
• Product Security Awareness and other trainings
• Security Conference in October Security Awareness month

We are looking for someone that can help us build the community further, improve our training and awareness sessions, set up our security service catalogue and check/complete the relevant documentation.

Some other tasks are:

• Define and describe the security services we offer (create a 'datasheet')
• Improve the workflow of our risk & incident management in Jira
• Align our security documentation pages in Confluence and identify gaps
• Gather information for our Business Continuity & Disaster recovery plans and help determine RTO and RPO

What we are looking for:

• You have a relevant background in Cybersecurity, Business & IT, or Business Management studies (Bachelor or Master student).
• You are a proactive, confident student with an eye for detail and accuracy and you are a good communicator with excellent oral and written English skills.
• You learn fast and have the ability to manage on your own.
• You can work collaboratively on multiple projects within an international team.
• You are based in the Netherlands, available for at least 4 months.

Your Team

You will report directly to the Product Security Lead and work closely together with the Product Security Architects, Specialists and Engineers in the Product Security of Excellence of Professional Business, as well as Corporate Security.

Your Location

The main working location will be High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, but you will also be working remotely.
