Position Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Principal Incident Response and Security Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive incident response process, managing security operations, and ensuring the protection of our data and cloud environments. This senior-level role requires a good understanding of data security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).

This is a hybrid or remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Security Operations Response processes

• Lead and coordinate security operations activities, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance incident detection and response capabilities

• Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future incident response efforts

• Manage and oversee security operations, including monitoring, detection, and analysis of security events

• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization's security posture

• Provide training and guidance to the team on incident response and security operations best practices

• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior team members

• Report directly to senior leadership and provide strategic insights and recommendations for enhancing the organization's security posture

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior or principal role

• Proven experience in incident response, security operations, and building response processes

• Strong knowledge of data security principles, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Vulnerability Management

• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and securing cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable
