Job Summary

Cybersecurity Automation Developer is a security-focused development role supporting the code, integrations, workflows, and job management platforms utilized in the Information Security Office. The applicant should be capable of gathering technical requirements, designing software solutions, and developing solutions.

Pay Rate

$16.00/hour

Required Qualifications

1. Experience with software development and/or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or equivalent
2. Experience collecting technical requirements and designing software solutions
3. Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response principles and methods
4. Ability to collaborate effectively with others as part of team

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with markup and/or interchange languages such as YAML, XML, JSON, or equivalent.
2. Experience with source and revision control systems such as Git and/or Gitlab.
3. Experience with workflow and job management solutions such as Ansible Automation Platform or RunDeck
4. Familiarity with web frameworks and web services (REST, SOAP)
5. Familiarity with DevSecOps processes

Work Hours

Any schedule M-F 7AM-7PM

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without reasonable accommodations:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
2. Distinguish colors on a monitor.
3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
4. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
