As an E2E Customer Security Architect, you will be responsible for analyzing customer security requirements and developing the E2E security architecture and high-level design for IMS-based solutions. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including the advanced security consulting team, product security leads, and market services solution architects. Your role will involve continuously assessing the security posture of the E2E solution, proactively identifying potential security risks/issues, and guiding program teams to implement security best practices.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building security architectures and designs for large telecom networks.
  • Gather and analyze customer security requirements, collaborate with advanced security consulting and product teams, and translate these requirements into implementable and testable technical specifications for IMS networks on Cloud platforms.
  • Develop security architecture and high-level design, including security tools, technologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Assess security vulnerabilities across the solution and design and enforce mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Proactively identify potential security risks/issues and serve as a trusted advisor to product teams, program teams, and customers to implement security best practices.

How You Will Contribute and What You Will Learn:

  •  Lead the security architecture and design for the FirstNet solution to meet unique FirstNet and regulatory requirements, including securing data-in-transit and data-at-rest.
  •  Ability to effectively interact with customers and collaborate with multiple internal teams, including product R&D, pre-sales, security consultants, solution deployment, and program management teams.
  •  Experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, CNI, CSI, Service Mesh, Docker, and OpenStack.
  • Developed security architecture and high-level design, including security tools, technologies, processes, and best practices.

You Have:

  •  Experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, CNI, CSI, Service Mesh, Docker, and OpenStack.
  • Assessed security vulnerabilities across the solution and designed and enforced mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Understanding of network protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS), frameworks (NIST, CIS, etc.), cryptography/encryption techniques, SIEM tools, endpoint security, and security best practices (DFSEC, DevSecOps, etc.).
  • Proactively identified potential security risks/issues and served as a trusted advisor to product teams, program teams, and customers to implement security best practices.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience in Tier-1 and complex multivendor telecom core networks in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Subscriber Data Management (SDM), IP Networking, and Cloud platforms.
  • Experience in Red Hat OpenShift
