This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
As member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will be responsible for working across the ART to implement and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for use by all of the Product Teams within the RA ART, across two development sites.
Essential Functions:
- Will work closely with the Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure that the tools and applications within the pipeline are maintained and conform to security and other requirements
- Will present regular updates on the pipeline's status and work to resolve any issues
- Will work within classified environments to implement CI/CD pipelines to support multiple software releases and build versions
- Will work with multiple disciplinary teams, especially Systems Admins, IT, and Security
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Applicants must have a current DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Must have experience and knowledge of Linux system administration, and System Security Implementations
- Experience with the following:
- Git
- Nexus
- Jenkins
- Jira
- Confluence
- Experience with CI/CD, especially in a classified development environment
- Experience working with DEVSECOPS
- Experience with the following:
- Linux shell scripting
- Ansible playbook development and management
- Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux
- Red Hat repository administration
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Must have experience with the following:
- Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
- Multi-Factor Authentication implementation, like IPA and ADFS
- OpenShift
- OpenStack
- VMware ESXI
- QAS/VAS
- Windows
- Active Directory
- Backup and Recovery
- Containers and Container Orchestration products
- Understand the concept of PaaS and SaaS
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, and how it applies to IT and IT products
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in a related discipline with 3+ years of working experience is highly desired
