YOUR IMPACT

We are looking for a Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and strategic direction of JSCAPE, one of our secure Managed File Transfer solutions, with a deep focus on scalability, security, performance, and high availability. You will also own architectural responsibilities related to our Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange for our global customers.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Product Management to define technical standards, drive architectural best practices, and ensure our multi-tenant SaaS platform meets the demanding needs of small to large-scale enterprise customers who rely on our platform for mission critical data exchange and B2B transactions.

  • Design and evolve Redwood’s multi-tenant SaaS cloud architecture with a strong focus on performance, resilience, availability, and security.

  • Lead architectural decisions related to MFT, including secure file transfer protocols, encryption, auditing, and high-volume data transfers.

  • Drive the modernization and scalability of our automation platform, leveraging cloud-native services (Kubernetes, serverless, messaging, etc.).

  • Define and implement best practices around infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and cloud cost optimization.

  • Partner with product management to align technical architecture with roadmap priorities.

  • Lead architectural reviews and contribute to design documentation and technical standards.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and DevOps teams.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant security, data protection, and industry regulations.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing SaaS platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strong understanding of Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems, standards, protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2), data encryption, and compliance.

  • Proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems using microservices, containers (Kubernetes), serverless architectures, and message queues.

  • Proven experience with cloud-based networking components and managed services.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), automation pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

  • Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection strategies.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence technical direction across Redwood products.

  • Experience working in enterprise SaaS environments with high standards for uptime, reliability, security and compliance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Redwood’s automation suite or other workload automation platforms.

  • Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

  • Background in enterprise automation, scheduling, and workflow orchestration.

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Solutions Architect, etc.) or security (CISSP, etc.).
