Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+ is a plus.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.

• Worked with and configured firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto).

• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

• Conducted vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, and Nmap.

• Experience with identity and access management (IAM) solutions.

• Assisted in incident response and threat analysis.

• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on all security matters and incidents.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect systems and data.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.

• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.

• Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

• Manage access controls.

• Provide security training and awareness to employees.

• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices.

• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and access controls.

• Ability to assess and mitigate security risks proactively.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
