Department

Digital Policy & Resilience is recently established as a separate department within the COO domain to focus on Robeco-wide policies for optimal use of data and technology and ensuring operational resilience. The department contains various functions, including information security officers, cybersecurity analysts, and IT control officers. The department head is also Robeco’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). 

Within this department, information security officers and cyber security analysts are responsible to manage security oversight & operations, security monitoring & testing, identity & access management, cyber security & analytics and business continuity. IT Control officers are responsible to provide assurance about data, technology and information security taking into account the Robeco (Digital) strategy, newly available technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence, threat radars, third party assurance, regulations and other relevant trends by applying Digital Trust and Governance principles. 

Position & Requirements

We are looking for a Data Governance Officer who is responsible for developing the data governance framework, which includes standards and guidelines for data governance. Somebody who follows market trends and regulations with an eye on innovation, connect with relevant communities and acts on a tactical / strategic level, with good reporting skills towards the Data Governance Board. The responsibilities include implementing policy programs, creating awareness, educating staff, supporting implementation and monitoring and reporting adherence to policy. A data governance specialist who can work with data owners, data stewards, investment professionals using data intensively, and risk and control specialists. The Data Governance Officer works closely together with other data functions, including the Data Architect, IT specialist, Data researchers, data  scientists, Data Managers and  Head of Enterprise Data Management to draft and execute Robeco’s Data Management Maturity Roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
  • 10 years working experience of which 5 years in Data Governance;
  • Knowledge of data governance, data management and data architecture frameworks (e.g. DMBOK);
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data lineage;
  • Knowledge of data policies and standards and relevant regulations;
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferably in Asset Management;
  • Experience in consulting and business intelligence is a pre;
  • Proficient in the Dutch as well as English language (written and spoken);
  • Minimum availability of 4 days per week / 32 hours.
